How much will treatment cost?
I wish I could answer this question. Individual needs vary greatly. Some people find that a session or two is all they need. Others need several sessions. During the first session we'll be be assessing whether we should set a plan to work together. If we do, sessions are usually scheduled every week or every other week, but it's also fine for you to come once and then play it by ear as far as scheduling future appointments. My fee is $145 per 50 minute session (longer sessions are pr0-rated accordingly). For individuals or couples experiencing financial hardship, I have a limited number of reduced fee time slots available. You may download an application for reduced fee here.
What Insurance Do You Accept?
I am not a contracted provider with any insurance companies. However, a significant number of the people I see are able to use out-of-network benefits from other insurance companies, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to cover some or all of the cost of therapy.
How do I know if I have Out-of- Network Benefits?
Call your insurance company's customer service number. Ask if you have out-of-network benefits and if the benefit can be used for counseling services. They can also tell you what percentage will be reimbursed, and how much deductible, if any, you will need to meet. If you are considering couples counseling, be sure to ask specifically if diagnostic code Z63.0 will be covered. Some plans will not cover this as they do not consider it a medically necessary treatment. If you do have out-of-network benefits, I'll be happy to provide you with the type of receipt you'll need to submit to your insurance company.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Payment is due at each session.
